So as part of the Blue Italian Rennaissance gown I had found some wonderful blue wool yarn and decided to make the lacings using it on the Lucet. I got a few inches done and then messed up so I had to start fresh. It is going along nicely and I have about 5 yards now but since I have lacings on both sides of the dress I'm debating if I start completely fresh for the other side or if I just keep going and cut the thing in 1/2 when I'm done. With my luck if you cut lucet it doesn't stay together. I think I'm going to try cutting on the portion I already messed up and see what comes of it.

Since the lucet is small and compact I can fit the project into my purse so it went with me to Dafydd's softball games. There were some young girls who attended to watch their Dad play and they were bored one night and asked me about the lucet. Since I didn't have my spare and have a limited amount of this blue wool thread I carefully removed the blue from the lucet and started a new thread so that I could teach them. They were appreciative and it kept them occupied for a bit. After a while though they preferred to opt for doing crochet chains. Well, can't blame me for the attempt to teach it.
